If you use Mac and tend to copy and paste things from one place to another, chances are, you may not be interested in preserving the original formatting of the text. Instead, you simply want the copied text to be pasted with the formatting of the destination of where it is posted.

And for that, you don’t have to use any fancy app or tool. It’s already included in your Mac.

All you have to do is go to your System Preferences, then go to Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts > All Applications. After that, hit the plus button and Add:
“Paste and Match Style” in the Menu Title and press Cmd + V when you are pointing at the Keyboard Shortcut section:

After that, simply hit Add and you are done.

It took less than 20 seconds to set that, but it can save you a lot of time later on, especially if you are more interested in preserving the formatting of the destination on a frequent basis.
