Now is the time when new college or university students start their studies. A lot of them may feel a lot of enthusiasm and maybe also have some feelings of fear, as they are not sure what to expect. In dev.to, I saw a developer named Avi Aryan that titled an article about a letter in which he has mentioned 2 advice he gave to someone who is about to start his studies in computer science. It had some really great advice that resonated with me, that I wanted to write about this topic.

He advised the other person to learn by doing and not have to worry for a perfect moment. I would also advise others and my younger self as well to not wait for the perfect opportunity, the perfect time to come to start a project, join an internship etc. You can learn so much while you are engaging in real-world projects. You can learn a lot of things when you are actually practicing the knowledge that you have gained by studying for your exams.

One of the best ways to learn and save yourself a lot of time is to ask those who have already achieved what you are after, or that at least have gone through the same path as you are aiming towards. This way, you can save a lot of time and effort from your own trials and errors to learn from them, and instead, learn from people who can simply give you some advice.

Another great advice that Avi mentioned was that you can learn new things from some of the best Udemy courses. In a lot of university lectures, you may not be able to learn that much by attending them. You may underestimate the time it takes for you to go your classes and come back to your dormitory and not having the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want because there are just too many students attending the same lecture. Sometimes, learning from some of the best Udemy courses can be worthy for your learning.

This was just a short letter with 2 advice that I hope you can benefit from.
