Beat procrastination of writing using “The Most Dangerous Writing App”

I have published more than 270 articles in this blog now and I still have difficulties getting started, despite the fact that I may have a particular topic that I want to write about, or that I have already made a decision to start writing. I just find other things that I could be spending my time on and this makes me procrastinate and delay starting. However, once I get started, I am more likely to follow through and finish writing the article, as I have gained some momentum and want to go further and finish it. A friend of mine has informed me about a tool that I have used to get started for writing a few articles that I have already published here called TheMostDangerousWritingApp.

Why accountability can motivate you to be more productive?

Maybe you have been in a situation where you have told someone that you will do something, and then managed to get it done as promised. On the other hand, you might have set a task on your to do list in which others are not involved and have been postponing it for a long time, or even let it unfinished at all. You did not finish it for more than a week and are surprised and feel guilty about this. The reason for these types of sabotages about your own goals, and commitments to tasks where other people are not involved might be because of accountability and ego. Continue reading

I told a few friends of mine that I have been writing articles in this blog on a consistent basis. I mentioned that I have written 2 articles per week during 2015 and my goal for 2016 is to write at least 1 article per week and they looked this as something way too easy and underestimated it. I agree with them that it is not that hard to write 1 article per week, but I think here we are dealing with something much broader. Continue reading
