twitter Twitter is a place where I spend a lot of time and I really like it, because of some really helpful features that are included in it, like getting in touch with different people, that I know and that I can know with just a few clicks, being very close with real-time information from different news aggregators (it is like a RSS feed alternative) and also about its simplicity.

Yes, I think that simplicity is what has made Twitter as successful as it is. It has helped it to attract new users with its helpful features and keep them addicted, that is visited regularly from those users for several times a day, among whom I am. I have also seen the saying of the CEO of Twitter, Dick Costolo, that Twitter needs more simplicity.

Well, even though it may be seem that I am being in paradox with the famous quote that I have posted above and the recent part of this post, but I would really like to have a new button on Twitter.

Why?

Let me explain what I do on Twitter: I visit it several times a day and I try to read tweets that have been posted earlier by people who I am following. I try to not follow many people, because I think that it’s beneficial and I do not have enough time to spend reading the whole tweets that regular members can post. After I finish reading some tweets that have been posted since my last visit and go down the main page, but I cannot achieve to read all the tweets, some new tweets just get posted and, since Twitter is a real-time communication and information site, I try to not miss those new tweets that have just been posted.

But what’s wrong here?

What I don’t like here is that I have just been switching from a section of the main page at the beginning of it to read those new tweets, but I also got distracted by them, because I have lost my track where I was reading earlier tweets.

Solution

It may sound simple (isn’t that the ultimate sophistication, right?), but I would like to see a new button at the toolbar on Twitter, that could send me back where I was reading earlier tweets, that could reduce the stress which I may get while not being able to keep track where I should be. I am repeating, it may sound simple, but I would like to see that new button on Twitter.

Maybe I am not in the right direction for this, but I think that the concept for this new feature can be useful.
