email-phone-face-to-faceDespite the benefits of modern ways of communication that now make it easier than ever before, face-to-face communication is still better than texting, calling, or sending an email. Even though sometimes it is more comfortable to communicate by sending a short email without having to move from your working chair, it seems a not very proper way to communicate as it avoids the need of presence of some necessary elements that make face-to-face interaction a more desirable means of a relationship.

Initially, body language is a non-replicable way of communication as it is an unconscious, but yet universal way of expressing our true feelings and it is included only during face-to-face communication. Mood, certainty, reaction and a lot of other signs enrich the conversation.

Also, human interaction is more intense during this type of communication, which contributes in making a more close and honest talk and connectivity. This is not an integral part of other ways, say writing, or phone calls, even though there might be some rare exceptions.

Finally, the accuracy of information is higher during talking to a person next to you, which is a conclusion of a scientific research. You have more chance of hiding the truth while typing a letter to the person who is thousands of kilometers away from you and also be safe from the facial expressions that may not be in your favor.

In conclusion, new ways have shorten the distance and made it easier for us to connect with others, but they haven’t been successful in bringing all the elements of a real life communication.
