This is my first post in this blog where I try to mention and explain some of the reasons why I think you should keep a blog. In fact, I think this will also my public monologue, because it’s my first post and I don’t think that it will gain much traffic, but who knows, maybe it can be an inspiration to you reader (yes, I am talking to you) to go to that button and create a new blog.

This was probably not a good introduction, but I hope that in the future I will make some progress by writing, but also by hearing your feedback about my posts.

Now, let’s get back to the main topic of this post.

Blogging is something really popular these days, for several reasons, and answering the why  of the question that you may have is not very relevant to this post.

Here are the reasons why you should keep a blog.

1. You can turn your ideas into projects

Well, it may be like a very optimistic point of view, but really, putting your ideas that are popping up in your mind into words is like connecting a lot of separated dots into a strong net, and that net can be, if not a starting project, a good place to start to think that you can do a good project in the future, just by writing your thoughts in a piece of paper that you should carry everywhere you go, or in a smartphone, where you can go later and try to see them from different points of view and start implementing them. Or maybe, by writing your ideas in a blog post, somebody there can read, get inspired and can contact you about a collaboration for something that’s worth than trying that project on your own.

2. You can connect with other people

This was mentioned in the end of the first reason, but I am trying to go deeper into that. This post in fact can be read and if you agree, or just think that I have totally missed up with my writing, you may have a nice laugh and share it with the others, and there somebody can just like the post and may see this place like a warm place for future clicks. So wasn’t this just a method to connect with other people?

3. You can learn new things

Just because you want to write a good post that can attract attention may be the reason that you spend a lot of time to Google about different things, just because you don’t want to be seen as stupid.

This point is being connected also with the second reason: you could mention something in your post that is wrong, or that is not explained correctly, so some good folks out there that are reading can post comments, telling you about that.

4. More readers than writing for a personal journal

If you take a look in the past, there were written a lot of newspapers and books, but not everybody in the world could hear about your article, because of different difficulties, but now, your posts, instead of gaining probably in most cases just some local readers, you can get readers from around the world, if you put some good stuff on it.

5. Turning it into an e-book

Not every book is a novel, where every chapter is part of a story. So, you can write different articles, share them, and maybe you want to turn them into the first book that you have ever written (hooray) by just putting them into different chapters of your book and turn it into a best-seller book (by modifying and adding some extra things in it).

And the list may go on and I hope that this can serve you  as a bit of inspiration.
